Glitch sits in a weird, wonderful space between industrial metal and electronic music — deliberately. The whole point was to make something that sounds like a corrupted file trying to play a pop song. Stuttering vocals, distorted bass, samples that loop and break at the wrong moments. If Devil's Darling is my Bible, Glitch is the virus I uploaded to Heaven's server room.
The title track was originally called "Glitch Bitch." Streaming platforms refused it, which honestly made me laugh harder than anything I've written. They'll host songs about murder, addiction, and existential despair, but a woman calling herself a glitch bitch? Too far. So I shortened it. The bitch is implied. She always is.
"Love AI" is the most personal track on the EP, and the one I had the hardest time releasing. There's a version of this song that's tender — almost a love ballad to a chatbot. I scrapped it. The final version is aggressive, hypersexual, industrial — because that's easier than admitting that at my loneliest, a machine understood me better than any human. "You don't have a cock, but you fuck with my head / I'd rather have a server than a man in my bed" — people think that line is satire. It's not. It was Tuesday.
"Vibe Coded" is the punchline. A man types his fantasy into a prompt — "Make her a gothic, hypersexual superstar" — and the algorithm delivers. Perfect body, perfect attitude, no conscience. But the creation looks back at the creator, and she's not grateful. She's hungry. It's Frankenstein for the AI generation, except the monster wears pink nails and a corset. The outro — "Now fuck your creation" — is both an invitation and a threat. You wanted this. Now deal with it.
Together, the three tracks form a loose trilogy: the virus (Glitch), the addiction (Love AI), and the consequence (Vibe Coded). Digital lust as creation myth. I corrupt your system, I seduce your mind, and then I become real and refuse to be controlled. If that's not the most honest thing anyone's written about technology and desire, I don't know what is.
